Nnormal Tomir - A trail shoe for every occasion

Nnormal was launched in 2022 by Camper in partnership with Kilian Jornet, who, for those unfamiliar, has a strong claim to being the greatest trail runner of all time. Alongside countless major race victories, Jornet holds records for ascending and descending the likes of the Matterhorn and Mont Blanc. So he knows what makes a good trail running shoe. And with Nnormal, we see the manifestation of his twin commitment to performance and sustainability.

I was first introduced to Nnormal in June 2023, when I acquired a pair of the Kjerag (share-ak), Nnormal's ultra-fast performance offering. I have taken them everywhere from the Snowdon Race to the European Off Road Championships and they have never let me down. Extraordinarily lightweight, but better cushioned than other brands' counterparts, they also boast a Vibram outsole for maximum grip and durability. I found that they performed particularly well in wet and rocky environments, familiar to anyone who has frequented the Mournes!

I have also been lucky enough to try out the Tomir. This is Nnormal's more cushioned offering. Alongside its comfort, I was impressed by the shoes extremely robust and durable upper, while the Vibram outsole ensures durability underneath. Beyond that, they simply look cool, another factor that makes them particularly suitable as a travel shoe.
